Do you really want to be on a diet that tells you that you cannot snack, have a piece of chocolate, or an occasional piece of pizza?
Whether you are trying to lose weight or control your diabetes, It’s important to have a balanced diet and still be able to give into those cravings once in a while. A good diet should include all of the food groups from the food guide pyramid; whole grains, fruits and vegetables along with lean meats, fish, omega 3 fatty acids, and yes even occasional sweets.
Many people try to lose weight, but fewer people lose weight and keep it off. This happens for several reasons; sometimes people try to lose too much weight too fast. Or they try to follow a food plan that isn't how they can eat long term. Reality is that losing weight in a healthy way and learning how to keep it off is not easy. It takes a new way of thinking. Are you ready?
Being ready is the first step to successful weight loss; the second step is taking action. How do you take action? First; realizing that you need, and want to loose weight. Second; a strong support system, i.e.; family, friends, someone who will support you through this endeavor.
